Zenith Firearms used SHOT Show 2026 to introduce the new MRDS PDW variants in 9mm and 10mm. Roller delayed fans now have a compact platform that removes the buffer tube entirely. These are PDW-sized guns built around Zenith’s proprietary roller delayed blowback system.

MRDS PDW – Compact Personal Defense Weapon
These PDWs will be available in both 9 and 10mm. Both use the popular roller-delayed system. Zenith is seen as a leader in this design, and the new models do not disappoint. The bufferless layout keeps the overall length short. The design runs without gas or rear recoil springs. That matters when you want a compact size without reliability loss.
GLOCK or CZ Scorpion Mags
Both models accept either Glock or CZ Scorpion pattern magazines. Barrel length options vary by caliber. Zenith built a compact roller delayed platform with modern magazine compatibility. The earlier MRDS rifles performed well but remained rifle-length. These PDW variants place the same system into a truly compact package.

The 10mm version will be well received in the marketplace. With the growing interest in the 10mm round, Zenith is offering a solid PDW to meet this demand. This roller delayed 10mm PDW offers more horsepower in the same footprint. The 9mm version competes with other compact PCCs. It adds a smooth roller delayed action instead of straight blowback.
MRDS PDW
The MRDS PDW shows promise as a true compact personal defense weapon in two popular calibers. While the 9mm version is nice, the ability to have a solid, well-performing 10mm PDW has my interest.
